Supermodel 101: Cindy Crawford

Break out those denim cutoffs, a white wife beater (there needs to be a conversation about this) and crack open a can of Pepsi, Baby Gia has entered the building. After a chance encounter with a photographer who took her photo for a university newspaper, this Illinois native left Northwestern University to become a modeling legend. A hottie with a body and brains, sis was pursuing a degree in chemical engineering, but dropped out having found success in the industry.
In the beginning she was known as Baby Gia, a replacement to top supermodel Gia Carangi, who succumbed to a tragic demise. But those smoldering brown eyes, voluminous locks and signature mole (literally the reason women draw them on) allowed Cindy to forge a path of her own.

The pisces baddie, who shares a birthday with both Rihanna AND Kurt Cobain, is one of the 90’s supermodels “Big Six.” That means she’s cat walked the most coveted runways (Chanel, Dior, Muglier), was the host of MTV’s House Of Style, landed the most lucrative campaigns (Halston, Revlon, Valentino), had a successful run in the fitness world with her workout tapes, was a video vixen for the likes of Jon Bon Jovi, Taylor Swift and George Micheal, has covered every major magazine, was once married to 1999’s Sexiest Man Alive, Richard Gere according to People, found love with second husband Rande Gerber, a successful businessman who co-owns renowned tequila company Casamigos, with bff George Clooney and is now a mother of two.
