David Choe’s Advice For Artists

Visual artists aren’t the only people this advice serves. Writers, directors, actors etc…everyone has to dig deep and find their purpose. Avoid stagnancy, which stymies growth and kills creativity. An integral part of the process, the journey before the destination. Art comes from the soul, not AI slop (and it shows, the commercials and ads are HORRIFIC and unmemorable) Why are you doing it? On My Gratitude List

Just thankful that these two queens exist. Their creations have gotten me through life’s rough moments, happy moments, lost moments and everything in between. That is the beauty of artist. Thank you for you legacies. Just happy I get to see it in real time. Photo: Lawless Bey

Dear Dan Dan

Copenhagen artist Daniella Jones is drop dead gorgeous. Not only does she create shadows with her brush, but they play with the cheekbones on that chiseled face. I thought she was some super hot insta model, making me question my sexuality, but she has talent. I love that she finds “inspiration in outliers,” very diverse, cultural art is essential.
