Spoiler:
I never write reviews that bash books, but “Flesh” was a waste of time I’ll never get back. Hyped, award winning, for what? In middle school I’d find this captivating due to the graphic nature of its content. The story went absolutely nowhere, no character development for anyone, largely depending on the scandalous actions of the protagonists, coupled with long, unnecessary dialogues consisting mostly of questions. The main character remains an idiot throughout the novel, including letting stepchild Thomas, who doesn’t like him, live. I would’ve respected it more if he’d let the boy die to inherit the money. At least he’d have something to show for it all. I wish I could unread this, I’m furious. Via: Amazon
