Hard Fail: Going To Bed Early

The struggle is real, we’ve all done this, prepare for an early night to end up distracted. Suddenly you’re scrolling through social media and hours of your life have passed by. It happens to the best of us. For me it’s trying to put down a good book, lying to myself that I’ll read one more page and be done.

Harry Potter was the epitome of fuck sleep. I use to pass out, book in hand, then sneak read during classes. We raced to finish J.K Rowling’s newest release, preventing spoilers. Keeping tabs on everyone’s progress, so you could finally discuss everything that unfolded. Those days were magic, just like the midnight release parties at Barnes & Noble. It was a time. Entering the bookstore to see hundreds of stacked hard covered books, guaranteeing you won’t leave empty handed. Extremely grateful for the period I was born in. Hoping newer generations get to experience something like it. Via: NinaCosford

A Woman’s Bad Mood…Period

Periods, are a valid reason for bad moods. You’re literally bleeding out for days, like a wounded animal. I may not be a carcass due to it, but I’m: irascible, bloated, cramping, my lower back aches, my tits are throbbing and you’re breathing too loud and talking too much. Give me chocolate then be gone.

Also not having your period is a valid reason for a woman’s bad mood. We are indeed human beings, with feelings, sometimes those feelings aren’t great. That being said, stop telling us to fucking smile. Mind your business altogether. We aren’t robots programmed with one emotion. When was your last bad mood? Why? How did you get past it? Adulting Expectations Vs. Reality

Just a reminder, being an adult might be…different than you imagined. Do it to the best of your ability, everyone has a different path. Don’t psych yourself out by comparing your journey to others, just learn the lessons designed specifically for you to reach your goals and fulfill your purpose. Social media continuously showcasing false narratives makes it easier said than done, ignore the noise. Everything isn’t as it seems, take those “perfect” people with a grain of salt. What’s a reality of adulthood that’s different than you expected (love life, career, social life, family…)? Artist: Nina Cosford
