The Difference Between Introverts & Social Anxiety

Some people simple prefer to keep to themselves, with a small group of loved ones. Needing alone time often, to recharge. Others suffer from social anxiety, nervous at functions, especially with large groups of people. While there are some overlaps, they are not the same. Introverts are solid within themselves. The latter cares too much about what others are thinking. A lot of people with social anxiety lubricate their nerves with liquor or drugs, to get out of their heads. Oftentimes it’s the small things that bring the greatest joy. Making memories with people worthy of your energy, reading a good book, journaling to get everything out of your system, taking a long walk, preferably in nature, or watching a film.
