Bedazzled Durag

Dope. Beads are a rite of passage for black children. Shaking my head to hear them clack was gratifying, until the sting against my face became unbearable. Bedazzled durags are major, a total black aesthetic.
This is also how I will be spending my weekend, looking down, sifting through three full pages of notes and a million photos after intense research for a think piece, that’s rapidly morphing into a dissertation. Blinged out durags bump it or dump it? What’s the last article you read? Via: Cheyenne Kimora

Style With Jordan Tupak

No idea what this man does, but his style is solid. Of course he’s French, meaning even when his clothes are loose they’re still tailored to perfection. Jordan Tupak’s style is fluid, saturated and a look head to toe. Most of his outfits are suit like, as in the tops match the bottoms and the colors are the same, he’s not that print mixy. The fits are curated perfectly, he even makes it acceptable to wear socks with sandals in look four, which again all the colors are matched, the cloud to the pearl necklace, the hat/glasses/socks all pink with the blue sweater to pants.
Look five he plays with the safety pin belt accessory to the paper clip bracelet, with the lines of the Dior sweater pairing perfectly with the lines of the pants. I can’t even get into the lime green anarchy aesthetic DOWN TO THE BEARD and oversized Canadian tuxedo flex. He’s not wearing designer for designer’s sake, streetwear debonair. Rossellini Is A Vibe

Isabella Rossellini is a bejeweled bad bitch. My idea of a New Year’s outfit for sure. Even though I don’t know if this counts as an outfit since it’s just an over the top necklace. Still want it. Is this considered clothing, yes or no? Film: Death Becomes Her

Lit Library

This speaks to my soul. Christmas lights surrounding my books, a marvelous idea! A library in my home has always been a must. Adding this to my mental Pinterest board (minus that excessive science fiction books, I like to mix it up), along with that disco ball I saw in someone else’s interior. Remember never trust a person who doesn’t have books in their home (either that’s a saying or Emilia Clark’s dad said that in a quote that appears on my explore page all too often, it’s up in the air for now). Dangly Mask Are It

Honestly this is just glamour, want a mask with fringes, need a mask with fringes, gotta have a mask with fringes. Yesssssss let’s elevate this into high fashion. Do you feel the same or naw? Via: Orville Peck & Ushatava Live

Workspace Consideration

The ambiance of your workspace is extremely important, it either propels your forward or distracts you from your goals, whatever they may be. Where do you set up shop? Are you someone who does better in the comfort of a cozy bed, or do you need the sturdy foundation of a desk? Via: Sumaiyya Books & The Literature Archive

Moment Of Renewal

A collaboration for Hugo Boss SS21 and artist William Farr, who works with found objects to create sculptures depicting nature, usually floral. I absolutely love this, it’s sporty chic and business casual, tailored to perfection. The material used for the track bottoms, the cords on the sleeve of the green jacket is major because it could go so tacky, especially with the fabric, but look three is just my favorite the color scheme and unexpected layers. Urgh perfection. Do you love it or hate? Which fit is your preference? Via: 10 Men Magazine

Double Denim Pantones

The first thought that came to mine was the denim on both looks is too matchy-matchy, it would have looked better if there were different denim pantones. Of course I just finished watching the series Stylish with Jenna Lyons, who dedicated an entire episode to this very topic. Does this count as a Canadian Tuxedo? Technically no, that consist of a denim jacket paired with jeans, however the term has loosened to apply to Double Denim looks. Which one is the fit for you? Ellery x Duran Lantink

Absolutely obsessed with this dress, casual glamour. It looks like an updated classic, something Old Hollywood stars would wear if they were time warped into the now. In a deconstructive way the top portion of this dress reminds me of a mini leather jacket over a gown. Like if Holly Golightly was making a fashion statement while arriving at a party she wasn’t necessarily invited to just to cause a stir, but looking as though it was a stop along the way of a better event. Do you love it or hate it? Via: Sara Maino
