Venn Diagram Of Female Musicians

Understand the difference. Ahem, Jennifer Lopez, singing isn’t her forte, but performing is. I singled her out, because she’s delusional. This Venn diagram categorizing female musicians into songwriter, performer and vocalist is critical. Everyone needs to know their lane. Stay in it, or expand through practice. Please, whatever you do, miss us with JLo’s delulu antics. Girl…do you hear yourself? Is this an accurate portrayal of women in music? Via: Memes_Heter0s_

All Of Us Or Only Me?

“Nothing could have prepared me for what she said next. She said, ‘Miss Watson told Judge Thatcher that she was going to sell you to a man in New Orleans.’
‘What’s that mean?’ Lizzie asked. ‘Papa, what does that mean?’
I walked to the door and looked out.
Jim?’ Sadie said.
‘Papa?’
‘Did she say all of us or only me?’ I asked.
‘Just you Jim,’ she cried. ‘What are we going to do? They’re going to split us up and we won’t know where you are.’

They were going to rip my family apart and send me to New Orleans, where I would be even farther from freedom and would probably never see my family again.”

Shame, Shame, Shame On Chloe Malle

What we ordered versus what arrived. Return to sender. Vogue’s October 2025 cover marking nepo baby Chloe Malle’s debut as Anna Wintour’s successor is a lackluster, dismal, failure. If picking up where Wintour left off was the goal, mission accomplished. She ended terribly after yielding to gutter trash for likes (read Negligence Is The New Black). A joke, this entire publication is garbage. You couldn’t pay me to work with them.

Neither Kendall Jenner or Gigi Hadid are gorgeous enough to be classified as supermodels, let alone stand there and give us nothing. You basic bitches better work, with those doughy, formless faces. Glamour magic makes people appear more attractive than they are and increases followers, this is how they’ve climbed to the top folks (read What Is Glamour Magic?).

Give work to the real models and get a better creative team. Isabeli Fontana and Caroline Trentini are epic, chiseled, serving face and body. What the real models lack that the 90’s supers had in spades is personality. Thus their beauty disconnects from the masses. Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington, Stephanie Seymour, going back to the Iman’s and Janice Dickinson’s, you think of them and know their personas. Their beauty wasn’t the only thing to shine. GET IT TOGETHER. These were full packaged women. Step up or step the fuck off the runway, sick of this. Strip Chloe Malle naked, shave her head, walk her through the streets of New York City, while we gather to scream shame, shame, shame and throw stuff at her. Via: Vogue Brazil & Vogue

PSA: You’re Gonna Learn

Couldn’t give two fucks less if I tried for the karma I’m about to bestow upon humanity (good and bad). You’re going to learn to respect black people, especially women. You’re going to learn women are sacred. You’re going to learn that your actions, inactions, thoughts, beliefs, words, intentions, choices have consequences and hypocrisy won’t be tolerated, like hubris. You’re going to learn not to make a mockery of my husband’s teachings and that hell & heaven are very much real. That I decide your fate, you don’t decide mine. You’re going to learn to listen when I fucking speak and that white supremacy comes from the Devil, so you’ll be joining him in hell. You’re going to learn that stupidity comes with a price.

This civilization is so wicked Gods had to incarnate to clean it up and toss you into the eternal lake of fire. You’re going to learn it’s my world and I allow you to fucking live in it. You’re going to learn I’m a Divine, not some little toy whose life you dictate and narrate. Abuse and ridicule, when I’m here saving your stupid asses from yourselves. Fuck the system. We’re dismantling it, Kali & Shiva. Artist: Nick Veasey

Black Men Wearing Flower Crowns

Seeing black men depicted with flower crowns is important and multivalent. For one, they’re perpetuated as aggressive criminals. Simply wearing a hoodie, or retrieving their phones from a pocket is enough for law enforcement to feel threatened, pull a gun and take their lives.

Piggybacking off my initial point, they are dehumanized due to stereotypes of criminality. As if they don’t feel, bleed, experience heartbreak, have aspirations that are curtailed by systemic racism. Mind you, we were imported here and enslaved, it’s the white man who should elicit such fear. Having spread their fallacy of supremacy globally, oppressing everyone, taking what isn’t theirs through genocide, murder, rape.

Finally, it combats toxic masculinity. They’re often pigeonholed into hypermasculine boxes and aren’t given room to breathe, to exist as a unique, singular being. This kind of representation matters, allowing them to be soft. Everyone deserves such grace. To cry instead of bottle up feelings by being told to man up. Resulting in uncontrolled rage when conditions get overwhelming. Which painting is your favorite? Why? Artist: Moses Zibor

“Nyx In Front Of A Mirror”

“As Dr. Byford explained, she was really the victim of a vicious, peculiarly female psychological disorder: she felt on thing and did another. She was a stranger to herself.

And were they still like that, she wondered- these new girls, this new generation? Did they still feel one thing and do another? Did they still only want to be wanted? Were they still objects of desire instead of- as Howard put it- desiring subjects? Thinking of the girls sat cross-legged with her in this basement, of Zora in front of her, of the angry girls who shouted their poetry from the stage- no, she could see no serious change. Still starving themselves, still reading women’s magazines that explicitly hate women, still cutting themselves with little knives in places they think can’t be seen, still faking their orgasms with men they dislike, still lying to everybody about everything.”

“Journey Through Words”

“Knowledge is a kind of power, and the knowledge you find in this book will help you find power inside yourself.

Power is not a material possession that can be given. Power is the ability to act and that must always be taken, for no one will ever give that power to you.

Those who have power wish to keep it, and those who want power must learn to take it.”

Life Isn’t All Sunshine

Life ebbs and flows, the tumult isn’t without reason. Rejoice in the clouds the way you do the sunshine. It’s simply redirection, realignment, protection (for the good), revelation- there are truths I would’ve never learned otherwise.

To have your wishes granted you need to take on pain and discomfort, as I have, ensuring your hearts desires will be achieved. Everything requires a sacrifice, the bigger the ask, the larger it’ll have to be. You aren’t special. Everyone has yearnings, aspirations, but it’s only given to those who set themselves apart by putting in the hard work. All that I desire will come into fruition, thanks to all I’ve endured and given up. Can you say the same? Artist: David Shrigley

How To Weekend In Your Twenties

This is precisely how you’re suppose to spend the weekend in your 20’s, especially early 20’s. Participating in chaos, dancing your life away, making outlandish choices, photographing it all for posterity. Reminiscing, I marvel at my bodies ability to recoup quickly. Sleep deprivation doesn’t exist in your 20’s, you’re a superhero, able to catch two hours of Z’s, work a double, and turn up again. It’s NOTHING.

Once you hit 30 that all goes out the window. Trust. A hangover will have you fucked up in the game for the entire day, if you don’t drink enough water with your liquor. You will literally pass out from lack of sleep. Cheap liquor will make you hurl. Don’t waste those years staying in or being demure, you’ll have plenty of time for that. Wild out to the max while your body can take it. I have zero regrets, I used that decade properly. Via: Felix Gonzales-Torres, DoubtMag & Tim Walker

Sunday Rose Isn’t A Model

I don’t give a fuck if your mom’s a high priestess in the Illuminati, you’re not giving face, you’re not serving body. Sunday Rose is another undeserving nepo-model. You don’t have it. Girl, take that unchiseled cheek off the runway. Boring, bored. NEXT! Via: BielParkLee
